Nick Pullara
A Colorado native, now calling Wickenburg, AZ home. Nick Pullara was the first of his family to show interest in horses and has always loved being involved in the western way of life. Winning his first jackpot in 7th grade, he was hooked from there. Nick would enter in any jackpot he could make it to and studied the sport of team roping.
It wasn’t until his early 20s that he really found his groove in the sport. He found success at the College National Finals winning go-rounds, the short-go and the average. While in college, Nick filled his PRCA permit and started to really hit the rodeo road with the end goal always being the same, a rope horse trainer.
Making the CPRA finals 12x times, 7x to the Mountain State Circuit finals, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Guymon, Rapid City and Steamboat being some of his most memorable wins along with winning the Wyoming Finals with wife, Chelsea.
In the 2000’s Nick assistant trained for respected trainers within the rope horse industry and then had the desire to step into the show world winning 3 APHA championships and a reserve. “When Jay started putting these events on, he had his first one in Stephenville Texas and I did some good there. I enjoyed the competition and the extra element of it being a judged event.”
Nick now offers private lessons, sale prep, selling prospects to finished horses and showing/training futurity horses.
“I don’t cut corners and I put the horse first. I want an honest and open communication between myself and owners.”
